Kukicha green tea contains little caffeine and is therefore very easy to digest, even in the evening. Its natural sweetness comes from the fact that the stems and petioles are used instead of the leaves.
This highest quality contains only tender, young plant stems.
Sweet, creamy, nutty—that's how you could describe this tea.
It is grown on the southern island of Kyushu, in the Kirishima Mountains.
There it has ideal growing conditions, volcanic soil and plenty of sun as well as fog in the morning hours.
