Over 70% of all green tea varieties grown in Japan are Sencha green teas.
Therefore, Sencha is the most widely consumed green tea variety in Japan.
The Sencha Kabuse Kirfuda is an exceptionally good organic Sencha green tea.
The taste is heavenly "umamig" (round) and has a slight sweetness. This tea is also very refreshing and flavorful.
It originates from the very south of Japan, from the island of Kyushu, and from the Kirishima Mountains there. The incomparable volcanic soil and the many hours of sunshine, as well as the daily fog, are ideal for this variety. On a high plateau 600 meters above sea level, the tea plantations are idyllically situated among the hills.
